Moral of the story...I should not automatically assume that embedding videos will work as planned. Especially if those videos come from Ustream. These guys are my choice when it comes to using their service for broadcasting live events...their coding skills, however, suck.
I had to do extensive re-writing of their embed code...and I still can't get the videos to to embed without starting to play automatically. With six videos embedded in a post, that can be quite a headache to resolve and get the computer unstuck.
Here is the GOP Convention video page at Ustream. You sort through the videos you want to watch...and good luck with that because most of them do not have titles. I can only hope they are in chronological order. Just be aware that half of them are in Spanish...and also not labeled.
